This document summarizes Davao, Philippines' efforts to promote free and open source software (FOSS). It discusses how the local FOSS community of DabaweGNU was formed in 2003 and has since conducted various training seminars and projects to raise awareness of FOSS. It outlines opportunities to advocate for FOSS adoption among local businesses and government.
