What is Sociology? Sociology involves studying human social life, groups and societies in a systematic way. Sociologists are interested in understanding how society influences us and shapes out lives.
What is Sociology? By studying sociology you will ask questions about how society works. It will hopefully help you make sense of your experiences in society.

What is Sociology? On Wednesday 15th June 2012 you will take the unit one exam that will last of 1 ½ hours. This accounts for half of your GCSE, you will take unit 2 in June 2013. Be aware- unit 1 is not easier than unit 2- just different topics.

What is Sociology? Write in your book: UNIT 1 TOPICS 1. Studying Society (what is sociology and how sociologists gather information) 2.Families- (what is a family and how do families influence individuals and society) 3. Education- (what is the purpose of education and why do some social groups achieve more than others)
What is Sociology? My Expectations: Arrive on time and ready to work  Put up your hand and wait to speak.  Stay in your seat.  Look after textbooks. Complete all homework.  Keep a glossary of keywords at the back of your exercise book.
