We have always believed that 19-year-olds and 20-somethings can change the world, so we give our interns lots of responsibility. They are expected to solve problems that we have never solved before, and they get evaluated on the same metrics as anybody in a full-time role.
Our interns work alongside our teams on our latest projects — they build features that go live, speak directly to our customers and clients, create and run live marketing and sales campaigns, and more. No matter what team they end up on, our interns all end up doing amazing work.
Here is a glimpse of life as an intern #InsideSocialCops and the journey that awaits you!
We’re hiring a limited number of interns whom we can entrust with important business problems. Check out all our internships and apply here: https://socialcops.com/careers/culture/

4. Our internships
are a serious
business
At SocialCops, we hire interns for core
functions like building apps, business
development, and marketing. Just because
somebody is 18 years old, we don’t believe
they can’t work alongside us like regular
team members.
Many of our interns have extended their
internships, completed consecutive
internships, or joined us full time after they
graduated.

At SocialCops, you get to work not only on a diverse set of
interesting problems but also on the ones that actually affect
people's lives. From joining as an intern to building India's
first data platform, my journey has been absolutely steep.
Vipul Bhavsar
Super Intern to Senior
Software Engineer
5. DATA SCIENCE
Detecting Roads from
Satellite Imagery
In his first week, Parth (a
second year student) turned a
massive company's sales data
into an algorithm for new
product launches. He then
built an image recognition
algorithm using Skynet and
Robosat to detect roads from
satellite images.
DATA ENGINEERING
Setting Up a New
Data Infrastructure
As an intern, Aviral used Kafka
to add event-sourcing into our
products — automating pricing
alerts & other complex models.
Now, after joining full time,
he's setting up new data
infrastructure following
Polyglot persistence principles.
BACKEND ENGINEERING
Building Better Data
Collaboration using
Google Sheets
Tanay joined as an intern and
started developing production
features for a product with
users in 31 countries! He used
Mongo Connector to help
users export data in near real
time from Collect to Google
Sheets.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Taking a New Product
to Market
Divyansh started as a super
intern, doing 2 internships
before joining after
graduation. Just three months
later, he's spoken to dozens of
potential customers, hosted
AMA sessions, and given talks
to bring a new product to
market.
Right from hopping on calls to speak with customers to working directly with one of our co-founders
to build a new product from scratch — we entrust our interns with a great deal of trust and
responsibility.

6. DATA SCIENCE
Estimating Population
at 1 km grids
A first year student, Saurav just
hoped to work on a live project
during his summer internship.
Instead, he worked with
geospatial data, statistical data
and satellite data to estimate
Maharashtra's population of
2018 on 1-km grids.
CONTENT & MARKETING
Driving the Voice
of our Brand
When Astha joined as a
6-month intern, she took over
our social media channels. She
joined full-time and went on to
create a marketing campaign
for our internship program and
become a full stack marketer
for Collect.
FRONTEND ENGINEERING
Migrating our Frontend
Stack to Vue.js
As a summer intern, Nishant
migrated our flagship product
Collect from Backbone.js to
Vue.js. After joining a year
later, he's built the front-end
for a new product to help data
science teams work together
10x better.
GROWTH MARKETING
Taking a New Product
to Market
A first year MBA-Marketing
student, Siddharth had never
run online ad campaigns
before. In just 8 weeks, he
became an expert with
LinkedIn, Facebook and Quora
ads, email marketing, Google
Analytics and Hubspot.

I joined SocialCops to learn what it takes to build great companies.
The real fun is not to work with the Googles or Apples of the world,
but to take the company there and become one of them by
building great products.

and mission will follow.

Here at SocialCops, we're constantly solving scaling
problems — just last year, 99k people completed 6
million surveys on our app. Writing code is easy
but optimizing, huh! It's tough. I'm so glad to be
part of solving this challenge.
Ankita Mathur
3 month intern to Senior

Frontend at SocialCops is exciting because we're
building interfaces for everyone from small NGOs to

Durations available
22. Some more tips…
● Please apply through our Careers Portal. (Pro tip: We just accept applications through our careers portal, even superman
finds it tough to deal with random emails!)
● All the opportunities mentioned are full-time internships based in New Delhi, India. In case you are currently
studying, please apply only if you can pursue it full-time or part-time with your regular college.
What to do
● Resumes sent in without a note or email are usually rejected without second thought, no matter how awesome
they are. (Pro tip: Unlike most companies, we don’t care for long love letters. A short genuine note works best.)
● We care about the details. If you have a shabby looking resume, we don’t interview you. We believe that the folks
who join us are the ones who work those extra hours to perfect the details.
● While applying to SocialCops, make sure that you show us what you can do instead of ramble about your skills.
Android Application developer? Send us APKs or, even better, a Play Store link to your app. Business development
intern? Send us a pitch!
● Research the role and tell us exactly why you want to work with us.
What not to do
● Don’t call us a “prestigious firm”. We’re not looking for people who are only in this for prestige or bragging rights.
● Don’t tell us how you really want to learn “data science” or this would be a great opportunity for you. Tell us why
you uniquely will make a mark on SocialCops before you leave.
● Badly formatted emails and wrong spellings in your application set off our alarm bells.
