2. What is Best Practice?
 Best practice is usually defined as focus on the ability
of a method or process to consistently show superior
results
 It is about using approaches that not only deliver
superior results but also consider sustainability and
ongoing development of the approach

3. Benchmarking
 A measurement of the quality of an organization's
policies, products, programs, strategies, etc., and
their comparison with standard measurements, or
similar measurements of its peers
 The objective of benchmarking are
 to determine what and where improvements are called for
 to analyze how other organizations achieve their high
performance levels
 to use this information to improve performance

 Toyota has developed the concepts of manufacturing
Poka-Yoke, Kaizen, 5S, Muda-Mura-Muri, JIT as a
step towards quality improvement and
sustainability.
 Indian army is very good example of discipline
 Indian army motivates us to face any adverse
situation and never quit
 Indian army is a shinning example of equal
opportunity and brotherhood

 One thing that truly makes soldiers stand apart is
their ability to achieve their goals, even fighting
against incredible odds
 Soldiers in the Indian Army are known for their
diligence and dedication towards their duty. If a job
has to be done, it has to be done and that too
perfectly. No work is small and nothing is
unimportant.

 Pizza Hut is known for its standard and quality of
products
 Pizza Hut ensures that their employees are
appropriately trained in the needs of disabled
customers, including ensuring that they are aware of
the needs for emergency escape in the case of fire
 Through Pizza Hut website, they aim to inform their
guests of facilities that are in place, as well as
detailing any physical barriers or facilities which are
not available for any reason.

 Ants are team workers and work together in order to
achieve something great
 Ants are driven by purpose and they think big
 Ants prepare ahead of : Ants prepare in their food in
Summer because they know that there will be a time
when there will be no food to find in winter time. So
they are constantly preparing for a season which is
yet to come upon them. It has a stark contrast with
human behaviour.
 Ants serve one another

8. Best practices that can adapted for college
enhancement
 5S should be implemented in college canteen to
improve its quality and productivity
 Ramp slope should be constructed for disabled
people
 Damaged part of the building or property can be
built up by keeping in mind kaizen process

9. Recommendations for Improvement
 Mock interview should be conducted under
supervision of experts to uplift the confidence level
 Students must be taught to align themselves with
others which will help in team building
 Maintaining discipline among student and staff
 Guest lectures should be conducted on regular basis
since it is an opportunity for students to interact with
unfamiliar people and get comfortable talking to
corporates
 Students can the opportunity to learn something new
if given atleast a day off from all college activities

 Learned about how various best practices are
followed by various institutions
 Learned various best practices which are followed by
other living organisms like ants
 Learned how these best practices can be
implemented in our college for enchancement
