It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate at the SMi Group’s Space Week, which will bring
together key stakeholders from across the space sector here in London. Launched in conjunction with our
Space and Satellite Division - announced at 2019’s Global MilSatCom - there will be 4 interactive days of
briefs and exhibition to explore how we are developing the enterprise and taming the final frontier.
Space Week will consist of the Small Satellites Conference, being held from the 27th - 28th April and the
Military Space Situational Awareness Conference just after on the 29th - 30th April.
Exploring both the proliferation of small, nano and cube satellites and their implications for future terrestrial
capabilities; and the growing emphasis on how we track and manage assets and debris mitigation efforts
to protect the domain for future.
Featuring 35+ expert speakers, an anticipated total of 200+ attendees and a diverse array of exhibitors
and solution providers - space week will provide an unmissable end to April for everyone that works space.

Dear Colleagues,
As the demand for additional bandwidth from space based communications,
PNT and other capabilities has grown and the incredible small satellite revolution
it has prompted has seen a wholesale change in our approach to future space.
Hence, the importance of the inaugural Small Satellites conference – which
acknowledge the growing importance of this key enabler.
With a growing array of players entering the small, nano and cube-sat markets, as
well as the emergence of new mega-constellations, there is a growing consensus
that a forum to consider best practise, regulatory principals, production and
operational lessons learnt to effectively utilise this resource.
This year’s conference, bringing together a host of military, space agencies,
regulators, emerging space companies, established industry, key opinion leaders
and end users provides a fantastic opportunity to raise questions and share
experience and knowledge.

5. Dear Colleagues,
As space has become more congested, contested and competitive, the need
for a forum within which we outline our collective approach to managing space
has become overwhelming. Hence, the importance of SMi’s 15th Annual Military
Space Situational Awareness conference – which acknowledges the strategic
importance of space situational awareness.
With an ever-increasing range of players entering the space domain as well
as the emergence of disruptive industry players launching new LEO mega-
constellations there is a growing consensus that we need to establish a framework
for engagement in space governance – utilising effective Space Surveillance and
Tracking – to achieve these aims.
This yearly conference, bringing together military experts, government space
agencies, industry leaders and disruptors alongside academics and key-opinion
leaders, represents a fantastic opportunity to raise questions and share experience
and knowledge in a leading, internationally recognised forum.
Having attended this SMi conference for the last 4 years, I believe that this meeting
is the best of its kind in Europe. Hence, I am honoured to be able to chair it for the
second year in a row.

This half day session will delve into how JHub
connects world class technology and talent
to military users. Exploring how JFC is rapidly
accelerating pilots into across key mission
areas across space in LEO, MEO, HEO and
ground infrastructure. This interactive session
will outline how to work with JHub and the JFC
innovation board.
About the Workshop Leader:
Innovation Scout, Adie Holt, is responsible for
finding world class technology and talent and
delivering it rapidly into the hands of military
users.
Adie, an RAF Engineer, has worked on some of
Defence’s most exciting capital procurement
projects including Harrier GR7, Tornado F3,
Typhoon and A400M programmes as well as its
major IT rollouts. Rarely satisfied with the status
quo and a natural disruptor, Adie was selected
to help establish the Joint Force Command
Innovation Unit, the jHub in 2017. The model he
helped to introduce is proving to be one of the
most disruptive and effective in Defence.
Adie also supports his wife’s business, enjoys
running, Krav Maga (not sure if enjoy is the right
phrase) and Lego (he has a young boy).

Substitutions/Name Changes: If you are unable to attend you may nominate, in writing, another
