L’innovation ne relève pas forcément d’une technologie nouvelle ! D’ailleurs selon l’OCDE, plus de la moitié des innovations n’intègrent aucune dimension technologique et relèvent de l’usage, des business models ou des processus organisationnels. Les idées reçues qui circulent sur l’innovation sont nombreuses dans notre pays. Or, elles ont des conséquences sur notre capacité d’innovation collective et sur celle de nos entreprises, conduisant implicitement à ne pas exploiter toutes les sources de compétitivité. Cependant, personne ne conteste que l’innovation est un véritable levier de croissance, qu’elle vienne des collaborateurs, des clients, des consultants, mais aussi parfois, elle vient un peu par hasard !
L’innovation ne rencontre pas systématiquement la réussite, bien sûr, il faut savoir gérer les échecs et capitaliser sur les réussites. Il devient nécessaire de consolider, en amont des décisions de déploiement de l’innovation, la performance, les potentiels de l’innovation et ainsi d’optimiser ses chances de réussite. Le secteur de l’assurance n’est sûrement pas le marché des hautes technologies où tous les deux jours est commercialisé un produit innovant. Cependant, notre secteur a en lui des opportunités qui ne demandent qu’à être exploitées.
Plus que jamais l’innovation dans le secteur de l’assurance existe et se doit d’être soutenue et encouragée. Il s’agit là d’un des objectifs des Trophées de l’Assurance : soutenir, encourager et rendre encore plus visible l’innovation et ses contributeurs.
