People are already struggling and feeling
like they need to keep up with the variety
of information sources they already have
< Adam Greenfield >
The only solution to information
overload is more information
<David Weinberger >
”What information consumes is rather obvious: It
consumes the attention of its recipients. Hence a
wealth of information creates a poverty of attention.”

Second Brain (S|B) is taking the
concept of content management
system and applying it to all the
online apps and social media sites
we use.
Media Coverage: Article from StartupSquad.com (April 30th, 2007)
Full article: http://startupsquad.com/2007/04/30/secondbrain-cms-for-the-ordinary/

By organizing everything into a single
online library, we are going to be the
"Windows Explorer" of peoples' files
and Internet-content.
56Strictly confidential
Media Coverage: http://blog.innovators-network.org (May 10, 2007)
Although SecondBrain.com has not yet
been released in the wild, with browsed
content becoming more difficult to
track, the idea has great potential as a
viable portability and convenience
utility.

Finansavisen (Norwegian Financial Newspaper (May 21 2007))
A meta-service that systemizes and
simplifies using the Internet.

Second Brain could well become a must
have service if development continues
on its current course.
Second Brain does something no other
site can claim - that is, help other web
sites and services while providing value
to its own users.
59Strictly confidential
I have so far found it to be one of
the most excellent sites and services
I have tested this year.
It appears as if the collection and
organization aspects of SB are well
on the way to being the best out
there.
This is second only to Joost and
Hakia in the level of thinking put into
the innovation
What our users say
This web application seems like
the tool I have been looking for
to help me organize better.
Because I think this is genius
idea!
Because I've been looking for a
service like this for ages.

Notas do Editor

  16. Internett ble utviklet i forskningsmiljøer for å spre informasjon fritt.
  19. Teknologi har gitt oss flere steder å lagre ting, men samtidig flere måter å miste ting. Man mister fort oversikten.
Gjennom filtrering). For eksempel: pizzautsalg som ligger nær jordskjelv.
Digg, Amazon, Last FM.
Lars: GO Dro på bryllupsreise. Ny livssituasjon. Trengte en litt stor bok.
  43. Second Brain organiserer all informasjonen i en felles katalog.
  45. Your complete collection – all user’s collections, resize the thumbnails depending on the number of collections. Your complete collection (prototype) – fixed thumbnail size, if all collections doesn’t fit we don’t care Your recent collections (prototype) – dynamic: collection title, first level tags, date , hardcoded: status and revision Secondbrain will build its page framework based upon WebParts.
