 Thoroughly Modern Millie
 Both the George Mason Band and Symphonic Band earned
ratings of straight superior at the District X competition in March.

 162 musical students visited Atlanta
 Performed @ VCS’ “Festival of Winds and Percussion”
 Record number of students who auditioned for state and district
bands. 4 – State and 12 – District
 GMHS Jazz Combo performed at the Chantilly Jazz Festival in
March
 GMHS Band won “Best Float” award @ Falls Church Memorial
Day Parade
 Mary Jo West recognized as winner of The American Prize in
Conducting – Musical Theater Division
 GMHS Production of Les Miserables was the winner of The
American Prize – Musical Theater Division

26. WELLS FARGO CUP
George Mason can take great pride upon being
recognized as the Group A school with the best
overall performance in VHSL state-level athletic
programs.
