Six standout student athletes from the University of Minnesota - including Farmington's own Kaitlin Mincke - were on scene at Meadowview Elementary on Friday, December 9. The athletes worked with students in grades 3, 4 and 5 shared and energetic and interactive presentation with students regarding healthy lifestyles, nutrition, school/sports balance and more.

2. Gopher student-athletes led a lively “Q and A” with students at
grades 3, 4 and 5 at the school

3. Farmington alumni and Gopher track/cross country athlete Kaitlin
Mincke was one of the featured students.

4. Gopher student-athletes stressed the importance of
balance between sports and school.

5. The gym at Meadowview is a also reminder to students of the
benefits of living an active lifestyle.

6. Track athlete Kevin Bradley led an activity to show
students how to take their pulse.

7. Students took a resting pulse and then later did 30 seconds of
jumping jacks and checked it again.

8. Thanks to the University of Minnesota student-athletes for
being a positive role model for Farmington students!
