Tile: Unit to Whole<br />The object of this project was to create an 8 x 8 tile unit with emphasis on pattern and composition. First we had to <br />design the tile in black/ white <br />and grey. Second, make a color transition of the same tile.<br />Phase 2<br />The focus is to explore the aspects of <br />Composition of the tile by using scale<br />to build upon and develop a 20 x30 <br />presentation board. <br />Phase 3<br />The objective here was to continue<br /> to build on the bi-dimensional <br />Configuration designed 8 x 8 tile<br />space. 3-D Model built in Sketch-up <br />with an axonometric view. <br />Phase 4<br />Building the physical model to <br />tri-dimensional composition. Using<br />craftsmanship a full scale model was <br />constructed with mat board. <br />Phase 5<br />Final part of the project was to design <br />an enclosed space to showcase <br />architectural details, texture, materials, <br />glazing and lighting.<br />4<br />

Elevation<br />Scale: 1/8 = 1’0”<br />Design Opportunity:<br />To secure a client for a one-level residential design project being ADA compliant.<br />Exterior and interior space is 4000 sq ft. The lifestyle of the client determined the <br />location within the country, rooms sizes, and special needs of the residence. <br />My final submission consisted of five 20 x 30 presentation boards, digital 3D presentation<br />using sketch-up, floor plan, ceiling plan, elevations, color and material samples, and <br />with views of an Ashville, NC million dollar home created with my husband as my client. <br />This project was a semester long project presented in front of a panel of professionals. <br />10<br />

REUSE, REDUCE,REPAIR, RENOVATE<br />Project Requirements: The focus is the re-design of the Habitat for Humanity <br />retail store, Restore. We were given a task to Reuse any and all furniture or <br />accessory pieces we could find. Reduce what we wouldn’t use. Repair the <br />pieces chosen. Renovate by painting, staining, cutting and sewing. Design <br />vignettes within a given space and present all the development of our research<br />in a presentation booklet. <br /> <br />12<br />
Community Outreach<br />Working in a group of three<br />Our team collaborated on a <br />game plan, shared design <br />approaches and developed <br />a color schemes. Along with <br />selecting and repairing furniture <br />pieces, in the planning of <br />every phase of this project,<br />each person had to present <br />their own floor plan,<br />perspective, and elevations, of <br />completed designs. Seven<br />vignettes were created our<br />section. This project lasted from<br />Feb 02, to April 02,. <br />13<br />

Religious Structure<br />Basic Basilica: the requirement is to generate an accurate existing condition in a revit model with specified dimensions and create a 3D model. <br />18<br />
Religious Structure Addition<br />3<br />To add an addition to the existing structure including 2nd floor, 5000 sq ft congregational space, storage, area for speaker, men's and women's restroom, 4 classroom and 4 offices for an additional space of 3300sq ft.<br />
