FOUNDERS
In 1913, Andersen and Clarence DeLany founded an accounting firm as Andersen,
DeLany & Co. It was believed to be the first commercial use of a computer in the U.S in
accounting firm.
The firm changed its name to Arthur Andersen & Co. in 1918
A new corporate structure was thus created in 1989, making Arthur Andersen and
Andersen Consulting separate subsidiaries of the same parent company,
Andersen Consulting initiated a split with Arthur Andersen in 2000, on the conditions
that it pay Arthur Andersen $1 billion and rebrand itself under a new name.
Andersen Consulting was renamed Accenture in late 2000, and the company was
officially relaunched on January 1, 2001. Andersen Consulting adopted its current
name, "Accenture". The word "Accenture" is derived from "Accent on the future“ Which
basically focus on clients in Accounting, Insurance and capital firms.
 Accenture announced on 26 May 2009 that its board of directors
unanimously approved changing the company's place of
incorporation from Bermuda to Ireland and would become
Accenture plc
 Accenture latter involved in multiple sectors like Health, defense,
operating system (Apple IOS – in 2017) other than Banking,
accounting, insurance sectors.
 In 2011 Nanterme was appointed CEO of Accenture's global
financial services operating group up to 2019 until he was
