Packaging/ Mail services We often forget that online retail outlets aren't staffed by bundles of fiber-optic cable or powered by magic. No, it takes real flesh and blood human beings to find your goods, pack them up, and ship them out.
Packaging Issues Amazon has decided to shut down Amazon tote. A FreshDirect-like program that allowed Seattle customers to order certain products online, and have them delivered to their homes for free. The company was quick to point out, however, that users can still place orders on Amazon Fresh. That concept still offers over 40,000 products for same-day or next-day delivery.

Story boarding/ Sitemap Storyboarding process is to gather information on your audience and determine the purpose for your page. Then you should define your objectives. What is the point you want to get across? What is your idea of success? Next, create user personas. Research your target users and see what interests them, or what makes them tick. Then build your site with their interests and concerns in mind. A sitemap is exactly what it sounds like, a map to your website. A sitemap should be a descriptive list that shows a hierarchy of links and the pages that your website will ultimately include. From the home page to the categories and subcategories, this map should show all the main topics that one can explore on your page.
Target users “You provide most such information when you search, buy, bid, post, participate in a contest or questionnaire, or communicate with customer service. provide information when you search for a product; place an order through Amazon.com or one of our third-party sellers; provide information in an individual’s account.” “Amazon” Email Discussion boards. Amzaon friends and other people; content of reviews and e-mails to us. Automatic Information Information through other sources.
Color Important Tip. Joe Hallock- In every other part of web design, the choice of colors should be target-centric. Explore color combination that work best on communicating the message to your target. The selection of colors in a website can either engage your audience to continue browsing and connect with the goal of the website, or just leave it after a few seconds Joe Hallock was a researcher, and it has shown that a preference in color does vary by gender and age. For females, the #1 preference for both genders go to Blue (Females 35% and Males 57%), followed by Purple for Females (23%) and Green for Males (14%).
Unity and consistency Amazon Uniformity and consistency help users extract meaning from the design of an application, keeping them focused on the tasks and not distracted by design ambiguities. Uniformity throughout a site is vital to ensuring that viewers do not have to make mental leaps to digest the site’s content. They go away from uniformity. By making something stand out on purpose by removing it from the consistency of the rest of the design, users are forced to spend more time on the element. The best way to make something stand out is to present it differently than everything else. Consistent and uniform interfaces makes it possible for elements to stand out because uniqueness can only occur in an environment where everything is the same.
