Editor's Notes
This is the main screen of the app. Users can select date, period of time and travel range of an selected event. We have 4 buttons in the bottom of the screen. starting from the left we have Transport, Restaurants, movies and Plan. Users can select a event and add it to Event Planner from either of Transport, Restaurants or Shows.
Once events are planned, the application will provide users a schedule for upcoming events. In the same time, the application will also provide the direction to the event by pressing “show me the way "or users will have an option to add another event to the schedule by pressing add something else.
When users press “Show me the way”, the application will bring you to a map with travel information. Users have select from driving, public transport, walking or cycling to the destination, and the application will provide users related information depending on users’ preference. It is a service that combine Google maps and Translink journey planner. The Map in the application is based on Google Maps. When users press driving button, the application will bring up a Navigation to the destination based on Goggle Navigation. When users press the public transport button, information of transport based on Translink journey planner will come up, including what bus/train to catch, time table and the bus stop/ train station location.
Users can select a restaurant based on their preference. The application will provide information of nearby restaurants, including address, categories and price. When user have decided which restaurant they are going to, they can press add to add a restaurant to their schedule. This is a service that based on Urban Spoon and Google Maps. The information of restaurants are all based on Urban Spoon, but since it requires to provide nearby restaurants, Google Maps will also be used to locate users’ current location.
When users press the “Shows "button underneath the screen, it will provide users information of coming up shows and movies. User can press Add to add an event to the Schedule. It is a service that based on Event cinema and Showbiz. The information of movies will be provided based on Event cinema.
It can detects users 'current location, so users do not have to enter manually. Because sometime it could be confusing discovering your exactly current location. It provides you information of the public transport including time table, what bus to catch bus stop location and etc… It is a service that based on Translink journey planner as the journey planner and travel information is based on Translink, but detecting current location would require Google Maps service.
