This document discusses using the SMART method for setting goals during a clinical experience term. Students are instructed to list a minimum of five professional goals and explain for each goal how it is specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and has a set timeframe. For each goal summary, students must answer questions about whether the goal can be measured, is attainable, is realistic, and what timeframe is set for completing the goal in order to ensure goals follow the SMART method.
