Three public events will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, starting at 9:00am, which shall be opened to the

public free of charge. The first will be held on Tuesday, November 22 , to discuss the CS´ resolutions and some
decisions issued by the Supreme Court of Justice regarding competition matters.

During the second activity, on Wednesday, November 23 , the CS will present its position with respect to
competition issues in the pharmaceuticals sector and will make public its recommendations to improve economic
efficiency and consumer welfare. Said recommendations are the result of the analysis of national and
international studies on competition conditions and opinions issued by the CS on legal framework. The Vice-
Minister of Public Health, Eduardo Espinoza Fiallos MD, and a representative from the Ministry of Economy´s Unit
on Entrepreneurial Competitiveness will participate in this event.

On Thursday, November 24 , the CS will present the results of the competition study of the credit and debit cards
market, main findings, and public policies recommendations. The President of the Salvadoran Consumer
Protection Authority, Armando Flores, and the in-house legal counsel of Nicaragua´s competition authority
PROCOMPETENCIA, Haraxa Sandino, will make important contributions during this activity.
This week will conclude with a meeting with opinion leaders in order to share the CS´ latest resolutions and case
results, seeking for feedback.
