2. John Clay
• I am going to make an inference about John
Clay. I believe he is the most interesting
character, and despite his bad, he is my
favorite. His wittiness intrigues me.
3. Behavior
• I think it is weird that John would use the
basement to do his pictures for so long. He could
have done that somewhere else..not where he
worked.
• John was persistent on Wilson taking a job that no
one had ever heard of before. That is very fishy to
me.
4. Inference
• I infer that from the looks of it, John is not
there to help Wilson.
5. Question
• Do you think John has perfectly good
intentions with Wilson and his job?
6. Past behavior
• The biggest red flag to me, is the fact that
he changed his name. Obviously, if he had
to change his name, he was bad news to
begin with. If someone can lie about their
name and get away with it, who’s to say
they can not get away with anything?
7. Prediction
• I predict that John will end up betraying
someone(Wilson), or doing something to get
him in trouble.
• I also predict, in the end, Sherlock Holmes will
step in the picture and save the day!
