Active and passive voice( Interrogative Sentence)

  2. If the sentences start with ‘do’ or ‘does’ or ‘did’. Step 1- Make it affirmative. Step 2- Now, make it passive. Step 3- Again make it interrogative. Now, this is passive of the given sentence.
  3. Example- Do I write a poem? Step 1- I write a poem. Step 2- A poem is written by me. Step 3- Is a poem written by me? Ans- Is a poem written by me ?
  4. Did I write a poem? Step- 1 I wrote a poem. Step- 2 A poem was written by me. Step- 3 Was a poem written by me? Ans- Was a poem written by me?
  5. If the sentence is starting with any other question word- Step 1- Make it affirmative. Step 2- Now, make it passive. Step 3- Again make it interrogative. Step 4- Put the question word at first place. Now this is the passive form of the given sentence.
  6. Example. Where do you see him? You see him. He is seen by you. Is he seen by you? Where is he seen by you? Ans- Where is he seen by you?
  7. How do you write stories? You write stories. Stories are written by you. Are stories written by you? How are stories written by you? Ans- How are stories written by you?
  8. When does Alok help me? Alok helps me. I am helped by Alok. Am I helped by Alok? When am I helped by Alok? When am I helped by Alok?
  9. (3) If the sentence is starting with the question word ‘who’ and it has one object then apply the following trick (simple present and simple past)- By whom + is/am/are/was/were + object + V (iii)
  10. Who tells you? (Who- subject, You- Object) By whom are you told ? Who teaches her? (Who- subject, Her- Object) By whom is she taught ? Who likes your brother? (Who- subject, Your brother- object) By whom is your brother liked? Who taught you? By whom were you taught?
  11. If the sentence is starting with the question word ‘who’ and it has two objects then apply the following trick (simple present and simple past)- By whom + is/am/are/was/were + object 1+ V (iii) + object 2
  12. Example- Who tells you that? By whom are you told that? Who teaches her English? By whom is she taught English? Who taught you English? By whom were you taught English?
  13. If the sentence is starting with any helping verb like is/am/are/was/were/has/have/had/will/ shall etc. Step -1 Firstly make it affirmative. Step -2 Make it passive. Step -3 Again make it interrogative. Now, this is passive of the given sentence.
  14. Example. Am I writing a poem? Step -1 I am writing a poem. Step -2 A poem is being written by me. Step -3 Is a poem being written by me? Ans- Is a poem being written by me?
  15. Was I writing a poem? Step -1 I was writing a poem. Step -2 A poem was being written by me. Step -3 Was a poem being written by me? Ans- Was a poem being written by me?
  16. Have I written a poem ? Step -1 I have written a poem. Step -2 A poem has been written by me. Step -3 Has a poem been written by me? Ans- Has a book been read by me?
  17. Will I write a poem ? Step -1 I will write a poem. Step -2 A poem will be written by me. Step -3 Will a poem be written by me? Ans- Will a poem be written by me?
