they are young.

’80-’90 YUPPIES ( Young

• They prefer working in the
private sector - as the private
companies become stable and
offer more salary.
• They earn good salary since
they are young. They have
more buying power.
• They have the “I AM RICH”
attitude!

The X-ers
Thai X-ers are totally unlike the
Western X-ers.
• X is not the movie rate. It’s the
cross-check (means “wrong”)!
• They are more individualistic but
still engaging and balance their
behavior to suit social norms.
• They do not confront the seniors nor
disobey the elder’s rules but find the
way to deal with those differences.
• They have the “8 Cs Lifestyle”
(Car, Cloths, Condominium,
Communications, Computer, Club,
Cosmetics and Condom ).
• They cannot afford the most
expensive brands of car and
fashion items like Yuppies.
• They look for different brands.

• Materialism vs. Self-sufficiency

• Individualism : Gig Culture

• Probably, a cash era
