The National Children's Science Congress (NCSC) was started in 1993 as a nationwide program in India to encourage creativity and innovation in children aged 10-17. It is conceptualized and supported by the National Council of Science & Technology Communication and implemented by a network of government and non-government organizations across all states. The NCSC provides a forum for both formal and informal students to exhibit projects solving societal problems using scientific methods and inquiry. It aims to foster scientific temper and involves over 8 lakh children participating annually through hands-on, team-based projects exploring everyday situations.
