2. What is Content Analysis?
Haggarty summarized content analysis as “ Content analysis is a research
method which allows the qualitative data collected in research to be analysed
systematically and reliably so that generalizations can be made from them in
relation to the categories of interest to the researcher”. Content analysis is
useful for analyzing the collected qualitative data systematically. However, it is a
time consuming method.
The services and research on content analysis is a transition of the academic
libraries from academic services to research oriented services. Agrahari et al.
concluded that, “In the field of Library and information science, content analysis
always uses in purist form but occasionally uses a hybrid approach
incorporating quantitative and qualitative technique”(116).

Objective This study uses the content analysis method.
Coding variables were decided through
inductive and deductive procedures. The
researcher examined the subject coverage of
the Journal of RCI from 2012 to 2016. The last
volume (Volume number 12)of Journal of
Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) published
in 2016 as per the website of RCI. The
descriptive statistics was used to analyze the
data. The frequency and percentages were
tabulated to determine the most covered area of
research. The Ms Excel was used to tabulate
and analyze the data
Research

Scope and
Limitations
Data collection carried out on 37 articles and coding
and tabularizing is done with help of Ms. Excel. The
