• Bangladesh′s ICT industry has been developing slowly over the past
three decades, culminating to hundreds of millions of dollars of
value addition every year recently.
• The industry has seen strong growth over recent years,
characterized by local demand as well as global exports. Total
earnings of the industry in FY 2014 was USD 600 million, out of
which exports amounted to USD 132.5 million.

12. Electronic Banking
• Electronic banking or E-Banking allows banks to expand their markets for traditional deposit taking and credit extension activities and to offer
new products and services.
• E-banking was first introduced in Bangladesh in 2009. Various forms of e- banking are available in Bangladesh. They are ATM, SMS Banking,
Tele Banking, Online Banking etc.
• Online banking and ATM are very popular these days'-banking is fast and easy banking system.

Robi came up ‘RobiHaat- Bazaar’ is an integration of two important services; ‘Bazaar Dor’ and ‘Krishibazaar’. These services

IT Sector
The National e-Content Repository, more popularly known as the 'e-Info Kosh', is available at infokosh.bangladesh.gov.bd, and already boasts over
50,000 pages of information during its launch.
It contains information on a range of topics including education, agriculture, health, law, human rights and citizen services.
Information is to consider as source of knowledge, but when it’s hard to collect that time progress can’t possible. For people of Bangladesh,
government take step to ensure proper information service for all stage of people.

28. Future of IT Sector
The prospects of the sector have compelled the government of Bangladesh to set a target of USD 1 billion export earnings by
2018.
Bangladesh has to think big and think different in order to achieve this mammoth feat. Current growth rate forecasts show
exports to be USD 490 million by 2018. Less than half of the target amount.
Not only increasing revenue in IC but in country we need to optimize every sector by means of IT, so that people can
ensure easy and healthy life. When proper environment comes it could be consider as best output of population in a
country.

In the late 1990s,various technologies have been applied to support the unique characteristics of Bangladesh.
