My research interests are situated at the intersection of information science, computer science and linguistics, particularly in the area of interactive information retrieval. At a theoretical level, my research focuses on the theories of human concept formation and categorisation and their implications for information access. At the applied level, my research focuses on the design and evaluation of information retrieval systems to improve people's access to information.
