17. Jt. Meeting along with 12 Clubs –on “What and WHY TRF” was held at
Alumni club on 29th Nov 2013 with 115 Rotarians attended the meeting

23. Blood grouping for 400 school children at Kadalur
schools was done along with the support of Chettinad
Hospital
Blood donation camp was held at KAPICO motors
company and a total of 39 units were collected
Water samples from 18 villages was collected and based
on the test results recommendations were given
World Mental Health day was celebrated on Dec 2nd
with an event at Paradise Home
Based on the request from Rotary club of Bangalore,
Rs.15000/- was given to an ex- cricketer for his discharge
from the Hospital
Support on purchase of Industrial washing Machine at
Paradise Home.
Adoption of one child at paradise home per year
24. Weekly Fruit Distribution through Ann. Bharathi and Rtn. Ravindran to
Kakum Karngal and Netaji Mercy Home
Monthly 250 biscuit packets to Paradise home by Rtn.Ravindran
32kgs of Jam was given to Paradise home by Rtn Amit Vaishnav
25 Kg Rice Bags to Paradise Home on periodical basis by Rtn Rajesh

26. Health Camp
Mega Health Camps was conducted Kadalur school in association
with Chettinad Hospitals
It covered General, Pediatric & Dental checks
7 doctors (2 pediatric, 3 general medicine and 2 dentists), 2 nurses
270 people were screened
Prescribed medicines were given free of cost by Chettinad Hospital
Regular follow-up post camp is taken care by the hospital by sending a
van to pick up & drop villagers for patients
The President of the Panchayat and a few Ward Members also were
present apart from Rtn. Sudarshan Rao, District Chair, Happy Village
30. Four Way Test
Four Way Test Inscribed Smiley cups were distributed on the
Installation day to all the Rotarians and Guests
Four Way Test boards were made and displayed in prominent locations
Vocational awards
Coinciding with vocational service month as per the Rotary calendar
the club held vocational awards nite on 27th Oct 2012.
“Vocational excellence award” was conferred to Mr Sesha Sai, IPS
officer who is currently serving as the Assistant commissioner ,crime
branch
and
”Young Achiever award” was conferred to Ms.Ashwini the youngest
Grand Master at 14 ½ years

Vanavani School setup a stall in a IIT Program alongwith Rtn Amit Vaishnav to
sell Jams/Ketchup. The interactors managed the stall and sold products worth

Rotaract club of Siddhanth – Installed on 6th Aug at Presidency Club
Rotaract club of Siddhanth had collected 100 bottles of blood through their blood
donation camp
Rotaract Siddahant career guidance cum factory visit at Megafoods
In Zone 5 Siddhanth was selected as the Best Rotaract club.
Rotaract Club of Ethiraj College – Installed on 20th July and Rtn PDG
Rekha Shetty was the Chief Guest
“My Guru” an excellent program to recognize teachers from more than 100 schools
was organized by Rotaract club of Ethiraj
Zonal Rotaract meet was held at Ethiraj college were our President Rajesh was the
chief guest
ZONE 7 won the best zone in which Rotaract club of Ethiraj belongs

This is a joint Project of our sister club with Rotary Club of Tebrau,
Malaysia.
It is in arrangement with Madras Medical Mission for performing
Heart Surgery for Children below 7 years for their Congenital Heart
Problem.
We have so far done about 2 surgeries of which one was with Rotary
Club of Silver Beach
Printed Pamphlets have been circulated among other Rotary clubs
to identify deserving candidates for the surgery.

Micro Loan
We are one of the few clubs who continue doing the same, for
the past 11 years, there have been a totally 105 beneficiaries so
far.
We have this year dispersed about Rs.75,000/-
Our Chairman Rtn.PP PL Muthiah is doing a fantastic job as
Chairman of this Project for the past 7 years.

51. Recap and Current Status
Rotary Club Of Madras Chenna Patna resolved to undertake a permanent structure
construction
• Kadalur Village Identified for Tsunami Relief Activities
• Close to the ECR, 70 KMS from Chennai city
• Location ideal to serve a significant number of villages and hamlet
MOU Signed with AIM for Seva – NGO run by Swami Dayanand Saraswathi
• Rotary will enable construction finances
• AIM for Seva will run the facilities
• Primary School (Classes Nursery to Class VI) & Secondary School (Class VII to Class X)
• Dispensary / Clinic – this is now a Health Center
• Students Hostel
Currently 383 students are studying in classes LKG to Standard VI
Boomi Pooja for construction of additional toilet blocks costing Rs.7 Lacs for the
school in the presence of Dist Chairman Happy Village Rtn Sudharsan Rao
Currently working on possibility of installing solar system for the school & hostel
