successful individual in this field, perhaps he has a
preference? What he did not, however, explain to his
audience was how a farmer, owning 80 acres when his
father died, could today own assets worth over Rs 2,000
crore. An 89-year-old chief minister, on the verge of
senility, living his second childhood as a benevolent
Maharaja Ranjit Singh, holding a daily durbar to satisfy his
childhood ego, while presiding over the most incompetent
and corrupt government in the history of the State, is not
what Punjab deserves.
