The document discusses the seven life processes that are essential for living things: movement, respiration, sensitivity, growth, reproduction, excretion, and nutrition. Each process is described in 1-2 sentences. For example, growth is described as important for living things to develop and obtain food/protection, and respiration is breathing in oxygen and out carbon dioxide through the blood. In conclusion, the seven life processes - abbreviated as MRS GREN - are outlined as essential functions for sustaining life.
2. Here are the seven life processes, another name for
it is MRS GREN. In each slide there is a bit of
information about one of the seven life processes.
I hope you like it!
3. Growth is an important thing because all living
things need to grow up so they can get food, and
protect themselves.
All livings need to grow because it part of nature. If
they cannot grow they cannot grow help
themselves, like babies. They need food, and water
to grow and someone to take care of them. When
they grow up they can help themselves and take
care of others as well.
4. Reproduction is making more creatures.
Reproduction is making more families because if
there is no more creatures there will be nothing left
in the world.
5. Excretion is getting the food that you eat out of
your body. Its important that we have excretion
because if we don’t go toilet we could die.
6. All living things need nutrition because without
nutrition all living things wouldn’t survive. If we
didn’t have nutrition you would die because
plants use the sun for energy and water for food
and animals eat them and humans like us eat them
as well.
7. All living things need to move because if they
cannot move they cannot get food or help
themselves from danger. Humans need to move
because they need to get food and keep safe from
predators.
8. Respiration is breathing. If you can not breathe
you will die. If you are only breathing in and not
breathing out you can die as well because you
have too much poisonous gas in your body.
Breathing makes your blood move around your
body. Humans breathe in oxygen and plants
breathe in carbon dioxide.
9. Sensitivity is smell, touch, hearing, sight and
taste.
You cant smell anything good or a bad. Smell is
important because if you ate something you
couldn’t taste anything. Your life will be boring,
don’t you think.
10. So those are the seven life processes. MRS
GREN stand for movement, respiration,
sensitivity, growth, reproduction, excretion
and nutrition.
