1 ANNOTATION
The individual learning monitoring
plans reflect the struggles of the
students in acquiring knowledge and
enhancing skills in this time of
pandemic. Health related fitness
requires activities that measures
the health condition of students and
yet, their movements are limited
due to some factors that need to be
considered. And so, I provided
alternative activities which can
measure aptitude of students, can
be performed without
compromising health protocols, and
not to forgetfollows set standards.

Lesson Exemplars/Weekly Home Learning
Plan Speaking of lesson plans or lesson
exemplars, these are essentials when
it comes to teaching. It is considered
as the bible in education because it
serves as a guide towards a
successful teaching-learning process.
Different strategies or teaching
approaches are incorporated in the
lesson plans/exemplars which arouse
the interest of learners. The
presented lesson exemplar and weekly
home learning plan contain activities
that stimulates students’ drive to
participate and learn. With the aid of
ICT, the MELC’s and objectives were
met despite the odds brought by this
pandemic.

Due to some instances where
students need a simplified learning
materials, teachers must be
innovative and be able to come up
with a simplified version of activities
that deliver and address the most
essential learning competencies.
Other learning resources that
supplements the needed information
such as links for videos were provided
to reinforce students’ acquired
knowledge necessary for them to fully
meet the learning competencies.

Learning is a never ending
process. With the current situation,
teachers need to adapt, adopt and learn
something new to use as an armor and
shield and become an effective mentor in
this trying times. With the trainings that
I have been through, I must say that
different pedagogies and strategies were
discovered and were put into action.
They also say that education is
the key to success but to me, in this times,
health must be our top priority. This is
what I have learned also in one of the
online seminar that I have attended. And
we can only be less vulnerable to the virus
if we submit ourselves to vaccination and
encourage everyone to have their doses.
The trainers methodology training enabled
me to have a better understanding when
it comes to learners needs.

The reflective essay above expresses
a part of me as a teacher during the
pandemic. My sentiments turned into
acceptance of the challenges brought
by distance learning. It also expressed
my in-depth personal experience during
the implementation of the LDM. It is
a n expression on how the LDM course
capacitated an educator like me to
innovate in teaching and level up my
approaches in educating our learners.
It also served as a platform to
improve my performance in teaching
and for me to be abreast with the
technological advances in education

reflection and learning to improve practice
“Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids
to work together and motivating them, the teacher is
the most important.” – Bill Gates
hen the pandemic redirected the practices of our educational
system, there was fear not only to the learners, stakeholders and DepEd but
most importantly to the teachers – the fear of failing to address intellectual
needs of learners.
Then here comes LDM. Served as a compass that directed
educators and administrators towards a portal of improving one’s craft in
delivering education with different modalities. Overcoming the fear of failing to
deliver the goods towards my learners is not an easy thing to do. But with the aid
of the LDM, I was able to conquer this fear.
Adapting to the needs of this trying time, LDM came across and
helped me became more flexible and understanding to the needs of my
students, and the community as a whole. I became more prepared in facing the
dynamics in teaching and made me realized that teachers can rise and can fight
against all odds for the continuity of education, as it is supported by the artifacts
gathered.
With TLE as my field of specialization, the delivery of the lessons (skills
related) is a different story to tell. For how can we teach skills by merely
discussing about it? Or sending a video? What about practicum? And
LDM just made me realize that anything is possible . It is an eye opener
that once a teacher, giving up is not an option. Such course made me do
my best at everything I do. May it be lesson plans/exemplars,
supplementary learning materials. LDM
is a fire ignition that rekindled my dying spirit to fight for education, for
the learners future, for the country.

I constantly monitored the
development of my learners not only by
checking if they have already
submitted their outputs, but also
through regular communication with
them in the EPAS10, 10Naparabur
2021 Group Chats. I immediately
give feedbacks regarding their
outputs in the EPAS subjects and
offered my assistance on the lessons
that needed further instructions and
explanations. Aside from these, I was
able to remind them of their academic
responsibilities in order for them to
cope with the challenges of modular
learning.

I developed my professional
engagements with my colleagues through LAC
sessions, INSET and faculty meetings, Group
chat conversations with fellow advisers and
home visitations with other them. Through
these, we were able to share our best practices
as educators; address challenges in teaching-
learning process through sharing our own
strategies to our fellow educators. During our
faculty meetings, we shared ideas and concerns
related to the distance learning of our students.
Group chats also served as a way for
information dissemination whenever teaching-
related challenges arise in the workplace.

LDM Artifact ( Required)
The modular learning modality has been a
challenge both in the part of the learners and
educators. Group chats were the saviors for a
fast communication to the parents: Reminders,
Announcements and Updates. The group chat s
also served as an avenue in answering queries
from parents and students. Aside from the
group chats, I was also able to monitor those
parents and learners who are not always on-line
through SMS or text messaging. It is also one
of the fastest ways to reach out to parents and
learners. One of the teacher’s responsibilities is
disseminate progress and struggles of learners
through PTA meetings both online and face-to-
face following social distancing and proper health
protocols. I was also assigned to distribute in
one of the venues for module distribution and
retrieval following proper health protocol in this
time of pandemic.
