3. Introduction to political party BJP
Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) is one of the two major political parties
present in the Indian Political system which falls under the
government of democracy and also today it is the second largest
political party in terms of representation in the Parliament of India.
BJP is present all over India and so it is a party present at national
level. BJP follows the socio- religious cultural values of the country’s
Hindu majority. The Party led a national partnership government
where various parties other than congress joined BJP and formed
NDA ( National Democratic alliance ). The central philosophy of the
party is Integral Humanism (for welfare of the people).
4. History of BJP
Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) is a successor of Bharatiya Jana Sangh
which was founded in 1951 by Syama Prasad Mukherjee. Later in the
year 1980 BJP was formally established and found its name under the
leadership of Shri. Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Shri. Lal Krishna Advani. The
NDA government governed the country from 1998 to the year 2004 with
Shri. Vajpayee as the Prime Minister. The BJP began to have electoral
success in 1989, when it capitalized on anti-Muslim feeling. By 1991 the
BJP had considerably increased its political appeal, capturing 117 seats
in the Lok Sabha and taking power in four states. The recent time NDA
government governed was from 2014 till present with Narendra Modi as
Priminister.
Criteria for the formation of the political party:- BJP is formed on
Religious and communal feelings as it draws inspiration from Hinduism.
In its first two decades the party's major holds were in north India's Hindi
speaking regions, because this party supported turning Hindi into the
national language of India.

7. Drawbacks of BJP
As BJP promotes and follows Hinduism, they do not get the vote of Muslim
people.
Losing two consecutive general elections in the year 2004 and 2009.
Need of a dynamic youth leader
Very old- fashioned/ traditional party
Very less presence in southern and eastern India

9. Major contributions done to BJP
The major contributions done to BJP was by Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee he was the
First President of BJP which led the party ahead. He was also an active
priminister in the governance of BJP. He had done a lot of work during his
governance (strengthening rural economy, building a strong infrastructure etc.)
which created a good image of BJP amongst the crowd and also had been a
good role model for others.
Shri Lal Krishna Advani was responsible for the growth of party, he made the
party active all over India and showed its presence at national level and also
was a very successive president in BJP for a long period of time.
The recent contribution done to BJP to campaign a lot and form its government
and become present almost all over India is by Narendra Modi (current
priminister) and Amit shah (current president of BJP). Narendra Modi after being
a priminister has created a lot good image not only in India but also in the
World.
10. How it has fought in elections
The party has worked a lot harder to form its government this year by winning 282
seats of its own and total of 336 with its alliance(NDA). The party has campaigned
a lot in different states of India within the crowd to form its presence.
Seats won by NDA in different states:-
Gujrat – 26 seats
Chhattisgarh- 10 seats
UP – 73 seats
MP- 27 seats
Delhi- 7 seats
Maharashtra- 41 seats
Bihar – 28 seats
Jharkhand – 12 seats
Haryana – 7 seats
Goa – 2 seats
Others states- 103 seats

12. My opinion about political party BJP
According to me BJP is a very good, active and an hard working
party which has helped a lot to Develop our country India by
reducing corruption, growth of GDP, building infrastructure etc and
also today it has created a good image all over India.
