Who is the audience for my product?
This is my reader profile it gives
some key information and some
statistics on what they like and
what they do. Such as how much
of my audience has internet
access and what they spend there
money on.
The audience-General
My audience is predominantly male, they are young as my
reader profile suggests between 16-28.
As you can see from the images they like going to rap
concerts, events and even rap battles.
The audience is grouped between D as the majority of
my audience will either be a student and/or young
adults and may only have a part time job or they will be
on minimum wage there for classifying them in group D
Clothing
My audience are young adults therefore they will like to keep up
too date with fashion with brands such as Nike and Adidas, and
they would shop in clothing shops such as Topman and Hollister,
a lot of rappers promote these brands and shops therefore
making them very popular with my audience.
Interests
The main interests enjoyed by the majority of my audience would be going to
concerts, using social media quite often and listening to music. These interests
are enjoyed by a lot of teens/young adults also showing that my audience will
be quite young. Also a large part of my target audience will be into sport with
the two most popular sports being football and basketball.
Music
These are some songs from some very
well known rap artists, both old and new.
This is the sort of music my audience
listen too and enjoys. Most of the music
only rap fans will like however it is a
mixture between rap and hip-hop/RNB.
Psychographic Profiling
Reformer: An independent thinker, craving harmony and authenticity
Explorer: Someone desiring discovery, challenge and new experiences
Succeeder: A goal-orientated organiser who needs control
Aspirer: A materialistic seeker of status
Mainstreamer: Someone in search of security, belonging and routine
Struggler: An escapist who lives for today but is often viewed as a loser
Resigned: Someone focused on survival and nostalgia with long-held values
A large part of my audience will most likely fall into the category of
Aspirer, this is because a lot of my audience will seek status, also in a
lot of rap music climbing the status ladder is mentioned going for
money and fame, therefore a lot of my audience may also look for the
status and look to be a leader not a follower.
