1. Soul Revolution IIHow imperfect people become all god intended Presented August 9, 2009 Chapters 3-4
2.
3. Following Christ moment by moment is like a radio station: It’s always there (airwaves) we just have to be tuned in to the right channel. Some of us are so worried about the future we miss the opportunities right in front of us. Some of us are so guilt-ridden over the past we can’t enjoy the present with God. Take some time and realize God is with you ALWAYS.
4. You don’t have to be perfect for God to enter into life with you. Let Him in and he will reorient things. Begin your day with the understanding that God’s presence is there. As you sit in traffic, handles messes at work, argue with your kids –He’s there. What might God do in you as you start to train yourself to be more and more aware of Him. Perfection is not Required
6. The 60/60 Experiment: A challenge to stay in continuous connection and radical responsiveness to before God. For the next 60 days, try to stay in continuous, honest conversations with God, willing to do His will moment by moment. Get a watch with a beeper or make sticky notes to put on your computer screen or rearview mirror or bathroom mirror or all of the above to remind you every hour. Keep a journal or blog of your progress. I’m expecting this to Revolutionize our Souls –to totally revamp our relationship with, and our understanding of, God.
7. Ask for guidance Ask for wisdom Just say Hi, glad to know You are there. Pray But What do I Talk About?
8. Read page 63 Here are some tips from The Lord’s Prayer. We are going to break it down and look at it verse by verse. But I’m not Good at Praying
9. 1. Our Father in heaven, Holy is Your name: The first thing we need to remember, Jesus says, is God’s character. Watch what happens as you willingly put Him first.
10. 2. Your kingdom come, Your will be done. How do we know God’s will? How do we hear God’s voice? God communicates with us, but we must learn to listen with spiritual ears. Ever been prompted by the Holy Spirit to pray for someone? The more we listen, the more we’ll hear.
11. 3. Give us This Day our Daily Bread See prayer as talking with God about everything that most occupies your mind –because that is where you really live, and that’s where God wants to do life with you.
