• What is a White Card?
• White card appears like a credit card
but it has a different function it is
serves as a certification that you
have already undergone a training
given by the Registered Training
Organization (RTO) in Australia. This
verifies that you have passed the
needed training.

Card and the induction training.

• This course can be taken online. It
would be more convenient to take the
course online especially when you have
your own computer and internet
connection at home. You can take the
course anywhere you prefer. There is no
time limit in taking the training though it
can be completed within one day.

• What is the course all about?
• In the course training it consists of very
important information that will equip you
when you are in a construction site they
tackle about the occupational Health and
Safety (OHS) regulations, the fundamental
rights of workers and the responsibilities in
their duties and tasks. It is also included in
the course the identification of hazards and
how to respond to them when encountered in
the workplace.

• What do I need to do after I finish the course?
• If you have completed the training course
then you can request for a White Card
which will be sent to your residence when
you have submitted all the necessary
documents. The RTO are responsible for
giving a list of all the names of the people
who have competed and passed the
training course along with a $10 fee to the
Workplace Standards.

• Can I borrow my mate’s White Card instead?
• White Card is not allowed to be borrowed.
When working in a construction area you
should bring your own White Card at all times.
If you work without your White Card then you
can be penalized with $3,000 equivalent to 30
penalty units if there is an inspection. Having a
White Card is a very important requirement in
working in a construction industry. If you don’t
have that then you will not be allowed to work
or to stay in a construction site.

construction site sometimes. Do I still
need a White Card?
• If you are not working in a construction
site then you don't have anything to worry
about having the training and getting a
White Card. You don't need to have a
White Card but you need to be with
someone who has a White Card who is
trained.
