3. An Overview
• Vimal Dairy Ltd. (VDL), the flagship company of Vimal Group, was incorporated on
22nd April, 1992 under the companies act, 1956 having the registered office in
Ahmedabad, Gujarat and started its operation in August, 1995.
• VDL is an established player in Dairy Industry, Processing milk & manufacturing
milk products. It is one of the largest private sector Dairy in Gujarat in the midst of
the monopolized Co-operative under the white revolution movement in the
country. It has a formidable presence in the state of Gujarat for supply of Milk &
Milk Products like Butter, Cheese, Paneer, Dahi, Ghee, Ice-Cream, Flavoured
Milk, Skimmed Milk Powder and Dairy whitener – all under the brand name
“Vimal”. Most of these products are also available in many markets across the
country. It has an integrated Plant at Mehsana for processing of Milk &
manufacturing of Milk Products.
4. An Overview
• Vimal Oil & Foods Ltd. (VOFL), was incorporated on 14th May, 1992 under the
companies act, 1956 having the registered office in Ahmedabad, Gujarat and over
the years has evolved into a fully integrated and automatic oil-processing unit
with an annual turnover of more than Rs. 1100 crores. At VOFL we are
manufacturing and marketing a whole range of Refined Oils namely Cottonseed
Oil, Groundnut Oil, Mustard Oil, Soyabean Oil, Sunflower Oil and Corn Oil (All
under brand name ‘Vimal’) and Table Margarine under brand name Vimal Lite.
