Effective  Communication Writing , E-mail, Letter, Memo, Report and Communication

Writing  Do jot down only the most important information. Use abbreviations and short notes , as long as you can understand them. Use some special comments in the margins for later reference. Don’t confuse yourself with excessive examples and sentences. Don’t write messily and think you will be able to read your handwriting later. By : Babu.G (www.raobabu.blogspot.com)
E-mail Organize your thoughts before composing e-mail. Make time to personalize each message. Make sure that your message is concise and direct. Do clearly identify the topic in the subject line. Don’t discuss sensitive or proprietary information. By : Babu.G (www.raobabu.blogspot.com)
E-Mail Do check spelling, punctuation, grammar. Don’t type in capital letters. It’s the e-mail equivalent of  Shouting. Do reread your message before sending. Do type e-mail addresses last and check that they are correctly spelled before sending. By : Babu.G (www.raobabu.blogspot.com)
Memo Do follow your work place’s preferred memo format. Do clearly state the purpose of your memo to avoid the confusion of the receiver. Do provide subheads to help receiver. Don’t forget the four elements of the heading: To, From, Date, and Subject. By : Babu.G (www.raobabu.blogspot.com)
Memo Do present important information right away, in logical order Avoid using cause and effect expressions (because of, due to, on the other hand) By : Babu.G (www.raobabu.blogspot.com)

Report Writing Do write your executive summary last. Don’t overwhelm readers with too many graphics. Avoid using highly technical terms. Do Present major points in the body of your report.
