4. Do you know What is global warming?
• The rise in earth surface temparature as a
consequence of greenhouse effect is
called global warming
5. Causes of global warming.
• Global warming is caused in many way: man
made and natural
6. Man made: Burning of fossil, exhust
Fumes from car, powerplant
smoke,deforestation,Methane
Release.
• natural: The world climate change has been
getting warmer for last 20,000 year. There
have been 5 warmer period for earth in the
last 450,000 year
7. There are three natural causes for
climate change
• Orbital change:The earth goes round the sun
sometimes that orbit change and becomes
more egg shaped. The change in orbit affect
the heating of the earth. This can last from
between 10,000 to100,000 years. There are
another two types are solar activity and
volcanic eruption.
8. Description of global warming.
• Rising of temperature
Global warming is a slow rise in
Earth’s surface temperature.
Temperatures today are 0.74 °C
(1.33 °F) higher than 150 years
ago. Many scientists say that in the
next 100–200 years, temperatures
might be up to 6 °C (11 °F) higher
than they were before the effects
of global warming were
discovered.
9. Effects of global warming on sea levels
• Global warming means that Antarctica and
Greenland ice sheets are melting and the oceans
are expanding. Recent climate change would still
cause a 6 meters (20 ft) sea-level rise even if
greenhouse gas emissions were reduced in 2015
per a scientific paper in Science.
• Low-lying areas such as Bangladesh, Florida, the
Netherlands and other areas face massive
flooding.
10.
11. Effect of global warming on human
health
• The effects of global warming include its effects on human health. The
observed and projected increased frequency and severity of climate
related impacts will further exacerbate the effects on human health.[This
article describes some of those effects on individuals and populations.
•
– Impact on vascular disease
– Impact on infectious diseases
• Impact of extreme weather
• Impact of warmer and wetter climates
12. Science Notes and News
• COAL CONSUMPTION AFFECTING CLIMATE
The furnaces of the world are now burning
about2,000,000,000 tons of coal a year. When
this is burned uniting with oxygen, its
about7,000,000,000 tons of carbon dioxide to
the atmosphere yearly. This tends to make the
air a more effective blanket for the earth and
to raise its temperature.
13. • Impacts on Agriculture and Food
• Changes in climate could have significant
impacts on food production around the world.
Heat stress, droughts, and flooding events
may lead to reductions in crop yields and
livestock productivity. Areas that are already
affected by drought, such as Australia and the
Sahel in Africa, will likely experience
reductions in water available for irrigation. [2]

Rise of temperature
Frequent strom and floods
Salinaty of ground water
Sea level rise and Inundation of low lying
land.Effect on agriculture and fisheries.
Health Hazzards.
16. How to control global warming?
• Reduce,Reuse,Recycle.
By energy efficient product.
Use less heat and air conditioning.
Change your light blubs.
Drive less and drive smarter .
Use less hot water.
Use of the switch.
Plant a tree or two .
Keep on eye on your local beach.
Encourage others to conserve.
