“Any time anywhere learning” is an integrated learning approach. It ensures learning can happen at maximum level beyond the barriers, boundaries, and excuses of educators........................................................................
Any Time Anywhere Learning: An Opportunity for Learner
Learning is a complex phenomenon. The fact, children learn when they feel comfortable at the surroundings’. School is the best place to incorporate learning to develop intelligence, intellect, social skill, emotional skill, and behavioural changes too. It maximizes learning with a sense to face the challenges of society, state, and nation. Education helps children to think ahead and beyond the boundaries of nation. Early stages of learning experiences have a profound effect on children development. Of course, early interactions directly affect the way we provide learning experiences at home, and at school. So, learning experiences are crucial to the future well-being of children, and to establish the foundation for the acquisition of knowledge and skills that will affect later learning and behaviour. Children arrive at school with different backgrounds and experiences and at different stages of development. Positive early experiences with school are of paramount importance to young children. Children thrive within classrooms that meet their physical and developmental needs and that provide a secure, respectful, and nurturing environment. We try to flourish the concept of “Any time anywhere learning” where we develop an integrated learning approach so that learning can happen at maximum level.
Children develop their knowledge by building on their past experiences and the learning they have already acquired. Since, most children believe that learning is a pleasurable experience; they are naturally inclined and even eager to learn when they first come to school. Children are delicate and surrounding plays crucial role in their learning process. They grow up and build up in various interrelated areas – physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and linguistic. In order to address the full range of each child’s developmental needs, we should provide opportunities for learning, self- expression, and self discovery in a variety of areas – for example, in music, drama, games, language activities, and cooperative activities with peers.
Children develop at different rates and in different ways and they have different habits of learning. Each child is unique and has individual needs. Some children will benefit more from one type of teaching strategy than another; some may need more time than others, and/or additional resources, to achieve the learning expectations. In addition, the diverse cultural and linguistic realities of the children contribute to variations in the ways in which they develop and demonstrate their learning. Children therefore need opportunities to learn in an appropriate manner and at an
appropriate time in their development, and need to be given learning experiences that are within the range of things they can do with and without guidance (in their “zone of proximal development”). So any time anywhere learning can be inculcate through providing homely environment with continuous, proper guidance and training at various level.
20th century saw a great change in every walks of life and education was the key, where several crucial changes had taken place. A major shift had taken place for the teacher. Teacher changes from master to facilitator. Paradigm shifted from one man leadership to the focus on each learner of the class. Teachers perform a complex and multidimensional role. They are responsible for implementing a program that is thoughtfully planned, challenging, engaging, integrated, developmentally appropriate, and culturally and linguistically responsive, and that promotes positive outcomes for all children. Teacher should be flexible enough to respond to individual differences and should be consistent with children’s ways of thinking and learning. Challenges of teacher increased day by day due to infiltration of modern technology into common man’s life. No one is escaped from the impact of technology on children. Gone are the days when a student has very little facility to divert them from study but 21st century teacher must have to “understand the way children learn , not the way a teacher wants to teach”(Howard Gardner). We should create a wonderful situation i.e. at the assembly, classroom, playground, on the bus, and at the home to develop a concept of “any time anywhere learning”.
Teacher should provide opportunity for the students.
1. Varied life experiences, social skills, and characteristics of physical and intellectual development,
2. To give each child the best start possible,
3. Provide a variety of learning opportunities and experiences that are based on assessment,
4. Should know the strengths, needs, and interests of the children,
In fact, teachers, members of the community, and families should work together to provide challenging and engaging learning experiences that will build children’s confidence, encourage them to continuation-ally to see learning as both enjoyable and useful, and provide a strong foundation for their future intellectual, physical, and social development.
Each child shows his understanding by doing, showing, and telling. Teachers need to use assessment strategies of observing, listening, and asking probing questions in order to assess and evaluate children’s achievement.
Any time anywhere learning need consistent balance of investigation or exploration, guided instruction, and explicit instruction. Pupils need many opportunities to investigate and explore. These experiences allow children to build on their existing knowledge, create and clarify their own new understandings, and experience a variety of approaches to a problem or question. In investigation and exploration, children’s autonomy is high, and teachers should observe, listen, and question in order to provide the children with the support they need using the instructional strategy of scaffolding.
We should be very alert about the need of children. We should provide all the possible opportunities for the pupils to learn. We should also take care of learning styles of each and every pupil in the school premises.
“Any time anywhere learning” is an integrated learning approach. It ensures learning can happen at maximum level beyond the barriers, boundaries, and excuses of educators........................................................................
Nobody is inferior, and nobody is superior. One is just oneself, incomparable. No one knows what your potential is, what you are supposed by nature to be. No one knows what is hidden within you, what kind of soil you need and what kind of gardener, what is the right climate and the right season and the right time for you to be sown.
Millions of children are born in the world almost at the same moment, but those millions of children cannot have the same destiny although the stars were the same. Therefore, provide them golden opportunity for learning any time anywhere. We should not make him paralyzed, who cannot move properly or an encrypted file which cannot be opened properly. Provide an opportunity to each child of this universe to bloom, to spread essence, to develop into an integrated human being.
Life is too much complex- integrate life skills to make life simple, sober , and well organized to live and lead a happy life……………….where a child can think his own, can walk on his own foot, can talk what he feels, save a child to be a machine, to be a robot and to be a lifeless human being--------------- --as an educator plays role of a gardener in a child’s life, who helps plant and flower to spread beauty and fragrance in the society, play the role of a potter to give a beautiful shape---------being human , shape a child to become human, where he shows respect to father, mother , brother, uncle, family , society and the nation. Do not produce a conflict personality , develop an integrated human being for the world, who is skilled enough to
face the challenges of universe and integrate himself, relate himself to the surroundings, then he will be able to live a life to be a human with values. Whole world is a learning platform, and in fact, learning can happen/ occur at anytime anywhere. A child comes in this universe with full potentiality, inbuilt power, nurture the potentiality, the inborn power , manufactured and empowered by GOD, as an educator be the integral part of a child’s life to be bloomed as integrated human being.

Any time anywhere learning

  • 1. Any Time Anywhere Learning: An Opportunity for Learner Researched and Prepared by Rajeev Ranjan Principal B.Ed(English) Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching English (PGDTE) English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad & BA & MA (English) Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi Email .Id: rajeevbhuvns@gmail.com “Any time anywhere learning” is an integrated learning approach. It ensures learning can happen at maximum level beyond the barriers, boundaries, and excuses of educators........................................................................
  • 2. Any Time Anywhere Learning: An Opportunity for Learner Learning is a complex phenomenon. Children therefore need opportunities to learn in an appropriate manner and at an
  • 3. appropriate time in their development, and need to be given learning experiences that are within the range of things they can do with and without guidance (in their “zone of proximal development”). 1. Varied life experiences, social skills, and characteristics of physical and intellectual development, 2. To give each child the best start possible, 3. Provide a variety of learning opportunities and experiences that are based on assessment, 4. Should know the strengths, needs, and interests of the children, In fact, teachers, members of the community, and families should work together to provide challenging and engaging learning experiences that will build children’s confidence, encourage them to continuation-ally to see learning as both enjoyable and useful, and provide a strong foundation for their future intellectual, physical, and social development. Each child shows his understanding by doing, showing, and telling. Teachers need to use assessment strategies of observing, listening, and asking probing questions in order to assess and evaluate children’s achievement.
  • 4. Do not produce a conflict personality , develop an integrated human being for the world, who is skilled enough to
  • 5. face the challenges of universe and integrate himself, relate himself to the surroundings, then he will be able to live a life to be a human with values.
