If you’ve seen a Rackspace presentation before, you likely have seen a statement such as this talking about great customer service. At Rackspace, we believe that Service is our key strategic differentiator and reason customers will continue to trust their business to Rackspace. While more than ever technology is playing a key role in RAX capabilities (OpenStack, Public/Private Cloud, RackConnect, etc)...we’ll continue to rely on service as our primary differentiator.
BUILD SLIDE: Before getting into specific products, let’s cover the main themes we are focused on this year. There are four of them.control: This theme is about giving customers (and support Rackers) greater visibility into their hosted infrastructure. This can be through portal enhancements, monitoring services, etc.security/resilience: As more businesses expand into outsourced relationships and delve into cloud-based technologies, it is important that they trust their business partners and feel confident that their data is safe. Therefore we are working to provide more products and features to help meet these needs. scalability: businesses strive to grow. We want to help them by offering services that promote the ability to expand your online presence, automatically when possible, to deliver your content no matter how busy your get. This is not only about delivering data faster, but it includes spreading your workload out into more places.services: Rackspace is recognized as a company that provides outstanding customer support. We want to leverage our experience and help our customers through ongoing collaborative dialogue. This includes not only our customer-facing support teams, but our consulting and training personally as well. Now that we’ve defined these themes, let’s talk about our product portfolio.
This slide is a quick one-page view of our service offering. As a global provider we have to think big. Today we offer bare metal and virtualized hosting services, as well as a suite of cloud products powered by OpenStack. The main takeaway here should be the fact that Rackspace is a specialist that offers many options. We recognize that the cloud is for everyONE, but not everyTHING, it’s important to know that not only can we can help you navigate the technology choices you face. We can help you define and understand the best practices solution for each facet of your business, from cloudy apps to dedicated infrastructure and the hybrid connection of both when needed.Rackspace is also beginning the process of extending its services outside the comfort of our its four walls. This goal is now reality thanks to our use of open standards. We recently announced the Rackspace Global Cloud Network Project, which is all about enabling partners around the world to deploy open technology that can benefit from our expertise and support.
