Applications of computer graphics

  1. 1. By:jyothish kumar sirigidi Roll no 13A5A1A05B2
  2. 2.  Computer Graphics includes almost everything on computers that is not text or sound. Today almost every computer can do some graphics, and people have even come to expect to control their computer through icons and pictures rather than just by typing. We think of computer graphics as drawing pictures on computers, also called rendering.
  3. 3.  Computer graphics is an art of drawing pictures, lines, charts, etc using computers with the help of programming. Computer graphics is made up of number of pixels.  There are two types of Computer Graphics  Interactive Computer Graphics  Non Interactive Computer Graphics
  4. 4.  Interactive CG involves two way communication between Computer and the user  It can be convinient to input graphical information from the user to computer and have an appropriate graphical output from the computer to the user  Pictures,Charts,Diagrams
  5. 5.  Non Interactive CG defines the user has no control over the picture being presented In non interactive computer graphics otherwise known as passive computer graphics. it is the computer graphics in which user does not have any kind of control over the image. Example: screen savers.
  6. 6.  Creation of an Object with data from one or more of the following  Input coordinates and calculated values  Scanning from an existing drawing  Manipulation
  7. 7.  Computer Aided Design  Presentation Graphics  Computer Art  Entertainment  Education and Training  Visualization  Graphical User Interface
  8. 8.  Display of Information  Design  Simulation  Computer Art  Entertainment cgvr.korea.ac.kr
  9. 9.  Graphics for Scientific, Engineering, and Medical Data cgvr.korea.ac.kr Medical ImageNebula
  10. 10.  It refers to the use of computer graphics to design buildings , automobiles ,aircraft, watercraft , Space Craft and other products  CAD Applications allow the designer to work in a multi window environment i.e., different views of the objects can be displayed in multiple windows  Architects find graphics methods useful to draw floor plans showing the position of rooms ,doors ,stairs etc
  11. 11.  Graphics for Engineering and Architectural System  Design of Building, Automobile, Aircraft, Machine etc. cgvr.korea.ac.kr AutoCAD 2002 Interior Design
  12. 12.  Computer-Generated Models of Physical, Financial and Economic Systems for Educational Aids cgvr.korea.ac.kr Flight Simulator Mars Rover Simulator
  13. 13.  Computer Graphics is used in both fine and commercial art applications  Artists use special purpose hardware and many computer methods such as artists paintbrush programs like Lumena ,Pixel Paint and super paint packages  In Commercial art designing ,photo realistic techniques are generally used .The graphics method commonly used in TV Commercials is called morphing where one object is transformed in to another
  14. 14.  Graphics for Artist cgvr.korea.ac.kr Metacreation Painter
  15. 15.  Computer Graphics methods are used in making music videos ,games ,cartoon movies ,television shows etc .  Some times the graphics scenes are displayed by themselves and some times graphics objects are combined with the actors and live scenes
  16. 16.  Graphics for Movie, Game, VR etc. cgvr.korea.ac.kr Final Fantasy Online Game
  17. 17.  Computer Graphics techniques have been used as an effective educational aid  Models of physical and Physiological systems can assist trainees to understand the operations of the systems  Special Systems are designed for some training applications such as simulators for practice sessions or training of ship captains ,aircraft pilots , heavy equipment operators and air traffic control personnel
  18. 18.  Scanning large sets of data to determine trends and relationships is a difficult procedure.  If the data is available in a visual form then the data can be classified in terms of  Scientific Visualization  Business Visualization
  19. 19.  It is an area that uses computer graphics to summarize the financial ,statistical ,scientific ,managerial and mathematical reports  It is also used to generate 35 mm slides for the projectors
