5. MODULATION TECHNIQUE
Video signal amplitude modulated and sound signal is
frequency modulated.
VIDEO TRANSMISSION-Normal
AM technique required a BW around 11 MHz
Large BW limit the no of channel in allotted spectrum
VSB AM technique reduces the BW to 5.75 MHz
SOUND TRANSMISSION-Sound
carrier is 5.5 MHz above the vision carrier
Sound is frequency modulated
Maximum frequency deviation is 50 KHz
6. COLOUR COMPOSITE VIDEO SIGNAL
Video is nothing but sequence of picture
If we see more than16 picture per second then we see the continuous
motion

• Signal is routed through MSR from various to Earth
station.

12. EARTH STATION
• An earth station is
a terrestrial terminal station.
• Designed for transmission
and reception of radio
waves from an astronomical
radio source.
• The signal is up-linked from
the Earth Station and
received by many down link
centers in TV broad casting
via satellites.
14. OB VAN
OB van is used for live broadcasting like any match or any
event. It consist all the equipments that is present in the
studio for telecasting. It also referring as mini studio . It has
mainly 3 parts :
1)Power supply unit
2)Production control unit
3)Audio console and VTR
