- Artifacts can appear over the horizon due to numerical instability
- Correcting this using interpolation results in performance-loss
- Shape of the planet is assumed to be a perfect sphere
- Limited to constant density per radius
- ‚Clear-Sky‘-Model is not the perfect approximation
