3. 2 Samuel 6:1-11
David again brought together all the able young
men of Israel—thirty thousand. He and all his men
went to Baalaha in Judah to bring up from there the
ark of God, which is called by the Name, the name
of the Lord Almighty, who is enthroned between the
cherubim on the ark.

They set the ark of God on a new cart and brought it from
the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill. Uzzah and
Ahio, sons of Abinadab, were guiding the new cart with
the ark of God on it, and Ahio was walking in front of it.
David and all Israel were celebrating with all their might
before the Lord, with castanets, harps, lyres, timbrels,
sistrums and cymbals.

 When they came to the threshing floor of Nakon, Uzzah
reached out and took hold of the ark of God, because
the oxen stumbled. The Lord’s anger burned against
Uzzah because of his irreverent act; therefore God
struck him down, and he died there beside the ark of
God.
 Then David was angry because the Lord’s wrath had
broken out against Uzzah, and to this day that place is
called Perez Uzzah.

6. Numbers 4:15
 "After Aaron and his sons have finished covering the holy
furnishings and all the holy articles, and when the camp is
ready to move, the Kohathites (no one else) are to come and
carry those things that are in the Tent of Meeting”
 They must not touch the holy things or they will die.”

 David was afraid of the Lord that day and said, “How can
the ark of the Lord ever come to me?” He was not willing to
take the ark of the Lord to be with him in the City of David.
 Instead, he took it to the house of Obed-Edom the
Gittite. The ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-
Edom the Gittite for three months, and the Lord blessed
him and his entire household (“and everything he
owned”).

8. 1 Chronicles 15:16-18
 David told the leaders of the Levites to appoint their fellow
Levites as musicians to make a joyful sound with musical
instruments: lyres, harps and cymbals.
 So the Levites appointed Heman son of Joel; from his
relatives, Asaph son of Berekiah; and from their relatives
the Merarites, Ethan son of Kushaiah; and with them their
relatives next in rank: Zechariah, Jaaziel, Shemiramoth,
Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah,
Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, and Obed-Edom and Jeiel, the
gatekeepers.

9. 1 Chronicles 15:23-24
 Berekiah and Elkanah were to be doorkeepers for the ark.
 Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah,
Benaiah and Eliezer the priests were to blow trumpets
before the ark of God.
 And Obed-Edom and Jehiah were also to be
doorkeepers for the ark.

10. Romans 10:9
 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and
believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that
you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with
your mouth that you are saved.

11. James 4:7-10
 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and
he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw
near to you.
 Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts,
you double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep:
 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift
you up.

12. Ephesians 5:18-19
 be filled with the Holy Spirit, singing psalms and hymns and
spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the
Lord in your hearts.

13. Psalm 22:3
 Yet You are holy, O You who are enthroned upon the praises of Israel
(aka “The Church”).
 Whatever you are about, in word and action alike, invoke always the
name of the Lord Jesus Christ, offering your thanks to God the Father
