Dietary Cholesterol ,[object Object]
Ingestion of high cholesterol foods. Absorption by small intestine; enters bloodstream Absorbed from the small intestine into the liver. Combines with triglycerides to from VLDL VLDL is broken down into LDL. Exits liver and enters bloodstream for delivery. Plaque formed on artery walls. HDL removes plaque and releases it from liver. Bile is released and cholesterol is flushed from the body through feces.
