1 Preserve
me, O God, for in You I put my
trust.
2 O my soul, you have said to the LORD,
“You are my Lord,
Romans 10:13
For “whoever calls on the name of
the LORD shall be saved.”

My goodness is nothing apart from You.”
3 As for the saints who are on the earth,
“They are the excellent ones, in whom is
all my delight.” God delights
in us 

law for us

David’s speaks of himself but is really
speaking of Christ.
Peter and Paul speak of Christ but is also
true of all who are in Christ!!!

10. Psalm 16 

You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Christ shows us the way.
He is the way.
True joy comes from
being in Christ’s
presence.
We are to enjoy God
forever.

11. Psalm 16: Summary
Because of Christ God delights in
us.
False gods will only make us
increasingly miserable.
Meditate day and night on who
you are in Christ.
Christ keeps the Law perfectly for
us.
Delight in God. Enjoy him forever.

12. Psalm 16: The gospel call
If you are not in Christ God is
angry with your sin.
False gods cannot save you from
God’s anger.
You can’t keep God’s Law and earn
God’s approval.
Turn to God. Trust in Christ and
enjoy him forever.
