6. What is social media?
A social media online tool is one which allows Web 2.0
behaviour: interacting, sharing and collaborating, –

dialogue; creating user-generated content in a virtual
community .
Contrast with Web 1.0 websites offering one-way,
passive viewing of content created by owners of
expertise, knowledge and therefore power.
–ACTIVE – EASY – VOICE – SOCIAL – DIALOGUE
