Born in Tromsø. Have studied German Literature, National Economics and English LIterature, mainly at the University of Tromsø. Worked in Finnmark early 1990s, before moving back to Tromsø in '95, working with the National Centre for Distance Ed in Higher Ed. In 1997, I took up a position as Head of Admin at the Norwegian School for Film and Television in Lillehammer before joining the Ministry of Education in 1999.
After 2,5 years in the ICT industry I joined Nordland County Council as Deputy Director of Education in November 2013.
