to Denia one week in October
and the young people go to
the attractions.
3. The main street, “Marqués de
Campo” has got a lot of typical
trees and the leaves fall.
4. Tipical food.
The typical food in our city in autumn is roast
chestnut, nuts and pot. Pot is a typical meal in
autumn and winter. It's made with potato, carrot,
meat, pork fat, minced meat with spices, chikpeas,
local vegetables... with rice soup.
5. Important dates...
9th Of October: It's the day of the Valencian Community. (Denia is in
this region). It's an important day beacause it’s the day of Jaume I
the Conqueror. Jaume I is a hero for Valencian people.
6. 31st Of October: It's Halloween. Halloween is a special day. In the past,
in Spain people didn’t use to celebrate Halloween, but in the last years,
people have started to celebrate it. It isn't a family party, people meet
their friends and they dress up with horror clothes.
7. 1st Of November: It's the day of “Todos los santos”, All Saints Day. It's an
important day because people go to the cemetery to take flowers to their
dead relatives.
8. The weather in Denia
Denia is a city next to the Mediterranean sea.
The climate is humid and the temperatures in
autumn are about 14º to 18º.
Usually in the month of
October there are
torrential rains.
