LinkedIn Branding Tips to Grow Your Personal & Professional Brands
1. Employees have become a key touch point in a buyer’s journey especially on LinkedIn.
As an employee, you have tremendous power to demonstrate yourself as a thought leader, build your own personal brand, and
strengthen the reach of the company.
Employees also have great reach and engagement potential. Data suggests that employee networks have 10 times the reach of
company pages.
Quick Tips
Regularly share key updates (webinars, speaking engagements, product announcements) posted to company page to
your personal accounts. If the update has been shared and linked multiple times, wait a few days before sharing. Like
the original update, share it, if opportunity exists to engage comment on original update.
Hashtags are active on LinkedIn for a while now so don’t be afraid to use them. When sharing an update, utilize a
strategy of including one branded hashtag (#quebit) and 2 non-branded (#financialmodeling, financialplanning).
If you have written a blog post in the past or have other content, the article section
(https://www.linkedin.com/post/new) is a great place to show your thought leadership and link back to relevant
content you would like readers to see. LinkedIn allows you to share previous content you’ve created without it being
treated as duplicate content. When an article is completed, it is easily visible to anyone landing on your profile.
2. Participate in regular non-promotional group discussions to grow personal authority with possible natural client
opportunities developing by being a genuine resource.
