3. NavisWorks® capabilities added to
drafting department
Kirk Williams Company remains on the
leading edge of Building Information Mod-
eling (BIM) technology by incorporating
NavisWorks® software into our 3 dimension-
al design and coordination drawings. This
allows us to participate with other trades, en-
gineers, and owners in 5 dimensional virtual
walk throughs during the design phase. This
platform increases construction efficiency
by proactively detecting potential clashes
before they become costly on site.
This addition is a continuation of our com-
mitment to investing in technology that in-
creases our productivity and efficiency. We
have been using detailed 3 dimensional co-
ordination drawings for over a decade, and
we successfully incorporated the Bentley®
BIM viewing platform into our coordination
process for the 2006 renovations of the Mc-
Cracken Power Plant at the Ohio State Uni-
versity.

We look forward to upcoming opportunities
to team up with clients who appreciate the
value of proactive problem solving in the
construction process.
Veterans Affairs’ Chalmers P. Wylie Medical Facility Completed
This 300,000 square foot facility recently opened its doors to serve the
veteran’s community. This state of the art comprehensive medical care
center houses 50 medical departments. This design-build project in-
cluded the installation of over 11 miles of ductwork and 27 miles of
HVAC, plumbing, and medical gas piping.
The Kirk Williams Company was
involved in the design of the HVAC,
plumbing, and medical gas systems
in the facility, and was able to com-
plete the project within budget and
on schedule by bringing thoughtful
design and competent installation
together.

4. Digital Gasparini Brake Added
Kirk Williams Company continues to improve on fabri-
cation capabilities with the newest addition to its 40,000
square foot manufacturing facility.
2008 Gasparini Digital Brake
Digital controls for angle and back gauge and an input for the metal guage
allow for the most precise sheet metal braking possible. 161” of bending
die allows for a wide range of brake lengths.
Prefabricated Piping Rack System
Our innovative design allows for medical gas, process, and hvac piping
racks to be efficiently assembled in our manufacturing plant and shipped
to the site ready for installation, saving time and energy on the job site.
This inventive design led to a Builders Exchange Craftsmanship Award.
Platemax Plasma Table
Cuts metal up to 1” thick at sizes up to 5’ x 20.’ Its software is linked di-
rectly with our drafting department’s CAD software which allows for im-
mediate collaboration between our design and fabrication departments for
completely customizable and precise pattern cutting.
2008 Airline Seam Welder
Provides precise, consistent, and efficient joining of cylindrical sheet met-
al. A wide variety of materials can be welded, including aluminum, stain-
less steel, hastelloy, titanium, inconel, galvanized, aluminized, and other
materials.
