How The Community Corps works
Internal IT / Capacity Building:
Volunteers address critical internal
technology needs of nonprofits and
schools; technology assessments,
database management, website
management, social media, Excel
training and cloud based services.
It’s fast and easy to join The Community Corps. Nonprofits and
Schools register their organizations. Tech professionals create
volunteer profiles, outlining skills, preferred causes and availability.
Nonprofits and Schools can post volunteer projects using
pre-scoped project guides. Volunteers can select projects that inspire
them, whether it is a cause they love, an opportunity to mentor a
student, or a project that strengthens their community.
The Community Corps promotes posted projects to skilled tech
volunteers, leveraging our network of corporations, affinity groups,
professional associations, and individual volunteers.
Nonprofits and schools can pursue their mission more effectively
and benefit more people
Young people are inspired to believe in their capabilities and
change their lives
Tech volunteers help organizations and people achieve their potential
Program Delivery / STEM Mentoring:
Volunteers interact directly with
students and community members
to share their business and tech
experience. Projects include in-
classroom STEM speakers, mentoring,
hosting career site visits, and STEM
program design and program delivery.

“Our volunteer from The Community Corps was amazing – knowledgeable, patient, helpful,
diligent, reliable, willing to go far beyond our initial expectations for this project. His contribution
to the mission of this agency would – if put into dollars – easily amount to tens of thousands.
Rimas Jasin, Executive Director, Presbyterian Senior Services
“It is so nice to know that an organization like this exists: an organization of people willing to help
other people... for free. Because of TCC, abused and neglected children in New York State will
have a better chance at better lives.”
Melanie S. Francis, LCSW, The American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children - NY
