Do they blog abouttechnical stuff or projects?
Do they do stuff in an    agile fashion?
Look for signs of great  company culture.
Ask to spend a day with       the team.
Look for established coaching routines.
Bonus schemes? Really?
Ask them about their    Google time.What are the latest   inventions?
Ask how many were  present at the last      all-nighter.There was one for sure!
Stop being a brilliant jerk!

Geeks are regular employees ... they just figure our fishy stuff sooner.           So clean up!
Hire slow, fire fast.       Netflix HR strategy
Make hiring a priority, like     at Facebook.
Ask the geek to spend a  day with your team.
Define the Employee Value        Package
The latest gadgets are amust. Provide them even ifyou can not afford them.
A compelling EVP   Yourorganisation   +   The job                             +   Compensation                            ...
Try to keep interestingness     evenly distributed.Agile may help with that.
