Logo designs naomi dann
1.
2. During our research and planning for the
production we have analysed logos of other
worldwide production companies and
distribution companies and created a name and
logo for each a production company and a
distribution company for our own production.
The production company name we designed is
Status Films and the distribution company
name we have designed is London Productions.
3. Here is the first design that we
created for our media
production company logo –
the use of the design is
symbolic to the narrative of
the production as it is a finger
print it represents identity.
The colour is simple – dark
blue/navy colour, however we
felt that this design was not
effective enough for what we
were looking to create.
4. For the second draft design for the
production company logo this is
what we created – developing the
first design by changing the colour
of the design and of the text. The
font of the text has also been
changed; using bold and capital
letters on two separate lines, this
logo looked more sophisticated but
we were still unhappy with the
colours and the overall feel of the
logo.
5. This is the final logo we designed for our production
company logo and title – we have developed the first two
into a more sophisticated looking design. The design
image has been changed and we added a reflection of
the design onto where the text for the title appears to
give an eerie feel which fits into our genre. Also keeping
the symbolic
design that suits our
narrative we felt that this
was the most effective.
6. The title of our distribution company is London Productions – we
chose this title idea because it is simple yet sophisticated. This is the
first distribution logo that we designed; two camera rolls as the design
with the title in subtle capital letters to be noticable but not to take all
of the attention from the design. However the choice of colours for the
design and text doesn’t entirely fit in with the genre of thriller or have
any representation of our narrative and so we chose not to use this
design.
7. Here is the second design that we created for the
distribution company logo – this design is more fitting
to our narrative than the first design. The design looks
like a DNA strand which fits in with the idea of
identity in our narrative. However the design and the
colours used are not suitable for the design we were
hoping to create.
8. This is the final design that we created for the
distribution company’s logo and title – the design is
similar to that used in the last logo design however we
have incorporated the idea of media/film into the design
by using a camera roll/film roll as the strand for the DNA
instead of having a plain design. The colours are subtle
yet are noticable which is what we were trying to
achieve.
