2. AADHAAR
Aadhaar is a 12 digit individual identification
number issued by the Unique Identification
Authority of India on behalf of the
Government of India.
3. Aadhaar Enrollment: Eligibility
Any individual, irrespective of age and gender, who is
a resident in India and satisfies the verification
process laid down by the UIDAI can enrol for
Aadhaar.
Each individual needs to enroll only once
Enrollment is free of cost
4. Go to any nearest Aadhaar enrolment centre in your
locality
Online form will make it easier to get an appointment
at the nearest Aadhaar enrolment centre.
Fill and submit the enrollment form (which asks for
basic information like age, gender, date of birth,
address) along with proofs and get your Biometric
data (fingerprints + iris image) captured
You will be given an acknowledgement slip which will
have a temporary enrolment number. Secure this
enrolment number for further communication
After a successful verification, your Aadhaar card
number will be generated and mailed to you
